Why? We believe that outlining our company principles will help propel our business forward in the right direction, while helping to shape a healthy work culture and keep every one of our employees on the same page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So what did we learn? What did we discover? And what are the next steps?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, it all started with our incredible talent and people teams. They invited our culture ambassadors from different departments to work together to outline TransferGo&#8217;s positive traits. We also agreed on the direction we&#8217;d like to take these values in, and other ethics we aspire to employ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Values and behaviours<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together, we worked to identify the values that we want to live by. These include doing the work that matters, building trust, collaborating, being our best and owning it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But values alone are still open to interpretation. So, we went a step further and put together tangible behaviours linked to each value. Our identified values and behaviours are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Value: Doing the work that matters<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Finding new and better ways to do what you do.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Seeing no limits, aiming big and moving the needle.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prioritising and focussing on what will make a difference for our customers.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Delivering and getting things done at pace, and with agility and motivation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Value: Building trust<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Being approachable, open and honest, yet tactful.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collaborating effectively and transparently for the good of the company.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Actively seeking out different points of view to make better decisions.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Going above and beyond to help our colleagues to succeed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Value: Collaborating<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Succeeding as a company, then as a team, then as an individual.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Being able to disagree and still commit.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Proactively sharing information, knowledge and experience with the aim of helping others.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Having fun and enjoying the journey.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Value: Being our best<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leading by example.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shaping TransferGo and being responsible for our success.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Seeing a challenge as a chance to grow and develop.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thinking like an owner and making decisions in the best interest of the company.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Value: Owning it&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Earning the autonomy to take ownership, make decisions and act accordingly.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Being unafraid to take calculated risks, because we&#8217;re testing, learning and improving.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Acting responsible for the success of the company.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Admitting to, and learning from, our mistakes (and quickly).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/blogimages\/en\/2020\/03\/Values-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6012\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Embedding our values and behaviours<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over time, we&#8217;ll be working together to&nbsp;<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">embed these values by adopting the following methods on a company-wide level:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Learning and understanding<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ll go above and beyond to understand what our values and behaviours mean to the CEO and leadership teams. From there, we&#8217;ll be working out and guiding each other to incorporate these values into our daily roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rewarding and celebrating<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We&#8217;ll be making an active effort to recognise and reward our employees living these values. This will be done by creating a &#8216;culture of kudos&#8217;, where employees say thank you and recognise successes via <a href=\"https:\/\/help.hibob.com\/en\/articles\/3110232-kudos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bob<\/a>. In addition, we&#8217;ll be awarding &#8217;employee of the month&#8217; prizes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Living and measuring<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif\">Finally, we&#8217;ll be living and measuring business values. We&#8217;ll be applying these to all processes including&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif\">recruitment, onboarding, feedback, evaluation, promotions and remuneration.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So there we have it. Our values and behaviours. We can&#8217;t wait to see the effects and results over time, and we&#8217;ll be keeping you updated on our progress too.
