It\u2019s rich in pop-culture history too. Legendary bands and artists including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oasis and Queen all hail from the UK. It\u2019s no surprise then that there are endless live music venues, gigs, concerts and music festivals to immerse yourself in. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s always time for a holiday<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re employed in the UK and work five days a week, you\u2019ll be entitled to a minimum of 28 days\u2019 paid annual leave. This includes the eight bank holidays a year. The UK is home to many beautiful and fascinating cities including Edinburgh, York, Bath and Brighton. It’s also awash with many picturesque seaside spots like Cornwall, Dorset, Norfolk and Northumberland.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The health and education systems are notable<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re a legal resident of the UK, you\u2019ll be able to access free healthcare. Granted, the National Health Service (NHS) has been underfunded over recent years, but it still outperforms many other countries\u2019 healthcare systems. And the fact that people living in the UK don\u2019t suffer financial hardship as a result of being ill is an absolute win.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UK also boasts one of the best education systems in the world. The concept of universities pretty much originated in the UK and the likes of Cambridge and Oxford are some of the best in the world. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a melting pot!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Okay, okay. So not everybody in the UK is super-friendly and progressive, but a lot of them are. Many parts of the UK are incredibly accepting of different ethnic groups, age groups, genders and sexual orientations. The UK is also a melting pot of different nationalities so you won\u2019t be hard-pressed to meet an eclectic mix of people. Particularly in one of its major cities, where immigrant population rates are generally quite high.
